We're Moving!

Perhaps it's not a surprise to you that we will be moving down the street because here at Lavish we LOVE LOVE LOVE c-h-a-n-g-e. Always switching it up and keeping it fresh as I like to say ; )

Anyway, we will be moving down a few doors into our sister stores space (Fiddlesticks @ 508 hayes street) When we re-open on Saturday, January 23rd you should be delightfully surprised with the small changes seen around the store. We are doubling up on the cute adult and home merchandise and handing over all our baby gear to Fiddlesticks. And come February we have at least a dozen new womens clothing designers to be featured on our racks and your old Lavish favorites like She-Bible and Sanctuary will be making a return of-course.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE the holiday season but I don't ever seem to get the head start that I intend to every year...

[ ] Tape pic to cute Dutch Door Press Holiday Card

[x ] Go shopping for ornament exchange with your ladies
[ ] Get grandmas cookie recipe
[ ] Pick up spiked cider ingredients at Trader Joes
[ ] Throw holiday party where Grandmas cookies are featured
[ ] Get Presents for Mom, Dad, Brother, Sister, Cousins, Nieces, Nephews..
[ ] celebrate the New Years

Hayes Valley Block Party!!!

this FRIDAY, December 4th from 6-9pm.

We have secured our resident DJ to spin for his 7th year in a row (DJ JoLu in the house!!!), and we just finished our ingredient list for our now famous SPIKED CIDER. So come on down, listen to some tunes, warm your bellie with a cup of cider & cross off a few people on your holiday list.

LOTS of good eats have sprouted up in the neighborhood over the past few years, so make reservations. Some of our favorites: Bar Jules, Altano Cafe & Citizen Cake!

Parking tip: the lot at Grove @ Gough is your best bet. Or park a few blocks away & walk.

Sita Rupe - Local Artist

I just finished an installation of our local resident Sita Rupe's artwork, and I had to share...cuz it's really whimsical, colorful & cheerful. Sita takes wood panels, found paper & creates a masterpiece everytime.

And really, her work is perfect for any room in your home. A tiny piece for the bathroom or entry way, several pieces grouped together for your bedroom or living room...and most definitely a few pieces for the kid's room. They are a great gift, especially as we approach the holiday season. I just sold one today as a wedding gift. Prices range from $20 - $185 a piece. And besides, I know you all want to support those local artists!!! So all you locals, come check it out.

Halloween comes but once a year, so I get antsy the second October 1st hits! You could feel the abrupt end of our summer as the brisk wind rolled through the city last week (followed by Spirit stores popping up on every corner). At last- Halloween is here!!!
