NYC or Bust!

This past weekend Elizabeth and I packed our suitcases and headed to the East Coast for the New York International Gift Fair. An adventure indeed!... from flying in on a red-eye and getting right to work, to hopping around different neighborhoods looking for inspiration - we definitely packed our schedule full.
Blurry, I know...but it feels like your getting on a futuristic spaceship when you board Virgin America.
On our way to NYIGF. The sea of yellow is always a trip!
Arriving to the show, one of the first things we stumbled upon were these adorable hand puppets by Cate & Levi!!
And these super cute purses by one of our old favorites- Queen bee.
Since the show wasn't completely opening till the next day, we finished early and romped around the city and soaked up the summer heat! (My favorite!!)
Elizabeth enjoying a yummy drink & the nice view from Hudson's roof top terrace.
Me being a tourist :)
The Last day we woke up early to go see Megan Park's new Spring Collection for girls 2-8yrs. The showroom was to die for!
Whimsical + Shabby Chic + girly + the newest and cutest for spring 2010.
It all started with this green couch that greeted us at the entry way...
A little sneak peak of the girls Spring Collection that will be at Fiddlesticks in the spring ...
Aside from Megan's little girl line, she also has an entire ready-to-wear woman's collection and I am proud to announce that this Spring Lavish will be getting in some awesome pieces - making me wish it was spring already.
Elizabeth and I Oooing and Awwwhing at the woman's line...
Lunchtime!! We went to Cafeteria for Lunch.
(Super fresh Salads for around $8)
Drinks served in jelly jars...
I've probably tasted every tomato salad served in San Francisco (I'm a tomato connoisseur) and I have to say that this one wins hands down.
It was deeeeelish.
Is that.... Pret?!?!? PRET A MANGER!???!!
So, we had one last stop (per my request), and it was Pret A Manger.
While living in England for a few months I became obsessed with Pret A Manger. It's like Subway minus the slimy meat and clear tomatoes... a sandwich shop just as it should be. Delightful, creative, and always fresh. I should probably be their new spokesperson. ANYWAY, I dragged Elizabeth to one right before we needed to head to the airport.
This year they started popping up in the U.S, but haven't made it past New York :( I'm hoping for a Pret on the West Coast by December 2010.
